Results of our Extraordinary General Meeting on 2nd March 2012

Dear Members

At the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of ACAP NSW members last night, 77% voted to discontinue discussions with Paramedics Australasia (PA) on an amalgamation.

Your ACAP NSW Board met today and reviewed the EGM decision and commenced discussions on how we progress from here.

Whilst members have decided not to progress the amalgamation of our two Companies, we will endeavour to continue to work alongside PA to advance our profession. ACAP NSW and our membership have made significant contributions to the registration project to date and our members will continue where possible to work alongside PA on this issue. Regardless of the relationship between ACAP NSW and PA, we share a common goal in achieving Paramedic registration and we will work towards that goal.

We will communicate with you and provide greater details on this matter in the near future.

Regards

Peter Lang MACAP
Chairman ACAP NSW
