ANZCP is inclusive of all who work in the paramedic profession. The following membership levels / categories allow for you to join us, no matter what part of our profession you are in. We are currently undertaking a review of our membership levels and categories in light of our membership needs changing in line with changes to our profession.
Student Paramedic Member: full time university paramedic student not yet fully qualified or employed
$47 per year.
Associate Member: trainee / qualifying / internship paramedic, employed and working towards full qualifications as a paramedic. Operations Centre / call taking staff, non-paramedic qualified. May also include those working in allied health fields, wanting to belong and support the field of paramedicine.
$156 per year.
*Those working in the field of paramedicine but who are not a fully qualified paramedic, and those undertaking volunteer roles such Community First Responders, St John members may also join as an associate member.
Full Member: Qualified paramedic currently working in the field of paramedicine. May also include doctors or nurses working in the field of paramedicine.
$156 per year.
Fellow Member: (Bestowed upon members who qualify)
$156 per year.
Life Member: (Bestowed upon members who qualify)
No annual fee applies.
Retired Member: To qualify for Retired Member category you must be retired and not employed.
$30 per year
Student Members: Any member enrolled in a university paramedical program and not employed whilst undertaking study.
Associate members: Trainee / Qualifying Paramedics: Any employed member undertaking a course of induction or probation to become a qualified paramedic (i.e: Undertaking the vocational diploma induction course for the ASNSW leading to a training period of employment) or a degree qualified Paramedic during their internship year.
Full membership: The College offers great benefits to all members, however to qualify for full membership with voting rights you must hold full qualifications in your field, for example, Paramedics must hold a Bachelor Degree in Paramedics (or similar name and curriculum) with full time experience working as a Paramedic or be sunsetted as an already practicing Paramedic trained within the former vocational system with full time experience working as a Paramedic.
Whilst the College is primarily a Paramedic organisation, we are interested in the whole field of Paramedicine and are inclusive of other professions and do accept memberships from those who work within Paramedicine but who may not work as Paramedics, with those applicants having their applications examined on a case by case basis to determine their appropriate membership category.
